Researchers from the University of Central Florida’s NanoScience Technology Centre have published their work regarding a rapid detector for dopamine in the journal Nano Letters. UCF professor and department chair of materials and science and engineering, Sudipta Seal, Ph.D. (WI G ’96), had this to say:

“Getting the sensor to be sensitive to dopamine had been quite the challenge for researchers for a while, but using altered cerium oxide nanostructures on the sensing platform was key in making the sensor work.” Click here to read the article for more details on the benefits of this new method.
