NMSU Outstanding Graduate, Top Student, & Student Profile (May 2017)

Caitlynn A. Roy, NM A 2017, is the recipient of the 2017 Outstanding Graduating Senior award from the New Mexico State University College of Engineering. She is graduating this month with a double major in chemical and mechanical engineering. In addition, she is the NM Alpha Chapter president of Tau Beta Pi.

Roy will begin a full-time position as a design engineer with Stryker in August. According to the news article, she will be working with New Tribes Mission this summer to serve the people of Papua New Guinea and observe the medical clinic.

On May 13, during Clarkson University’s 124th commencement ceremony, Amy C. Hait, NY Q 2017, received the Frederica Clarkson Award “based on her scholarship and promise of outstanding achievement.” The award is traditionally given to one of the top students in the graduating class. Hait graduated with a degree in environmental engineering.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) profiled graduating senior Haoxue (Lily) Yan, NY G 2017, as part of Commencement 2017 festivities. Yan was born in China and will graduate as part of the 211th Commencement Ceremony at RPI on Saturday, May 20. She will receive a degree in materials science and engineering.
