Rutgers Athletics HOF, Corporate Counsel, & Distinguished Teaching Award (May 2017)

The Rutgers University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics recently announced the 2017 Hall of Fame class. Honorees will be recognized at halftime of the football game on Saturday, October 21, 2017. Erin E. McIntyre, NJ B ’03, was among this year’s class of inductees. She competed at Rutgers from 1999 to 2003 and was the first NCAA Women’s Swimming Championships qualifier in program history. She was a 2002 All-American and still holds several school records.

After graduating with her degree in mechanical engineering, she earned a master’s degree, a master’s of public health, and is now a certified physician assistant. She works at the University of Colorado Hospital and is also an instructor of surgery-surgical oncology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. In 2003, she was named a Tau Beta Pi Laureate.

John M. Dahl, ND B ’95, has joined Dealer Teamwork as general counsel and senior vice president. Most recently, he was Of Counsel with Pauly, DeVries Smith, & Deffner in Minneapolis, MN. According to the press release, Dahl is a registered patent attorney with over 19 years of experience practicing in the electrical and mechanical arts, including a broad range of electronic, computer, electromechanical, and business-related technologies.

He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the University of North Dakota.

During the Spring Awards Convocation at Juniata College (PA), Gerald W. Kruse, Ph.D. (IL A ’85), was one of three faculty members to be honored with a distinguished teaching and service award. Dr. Krause is a professor in information technology, computer science and mathematics. He received the 28th annual Beachley Award for Distinguished Academic Service.

Dr. Kruse joined the Juniata faculty in 1999 after a successful career in the private sector where he worked for Compaq Computer Corp. and DuPont Co. Read the news article for more biographical information.
