TBP MindSET Program & 2016 USA STEM Festival

Six volunteers from the Florida Theta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at Florida International University, recently hosted three MindSET activity sessions for students at St. Brendan Elementary School in Miami, FL. Approximately, 45 elementary students built penny launchers, constructed marshmallow structures, and learned about circuits. FL Theta MindSET Chair Daniela S. Gil, FL Q 2017, led the MindSET activities and took pictures. Below is an image of the volunteers.

Come explore the fourth USA Science & Engineering Festival April 16-17 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. Tau Beta Pi will be hosting booth #1138 located in Hall A. Stop by to say hello to our great alumni and collegiate volunteers and test your engineering skills in building a helmet to protect a hollowed-out real chicken egg.

On Saturday, April 16, the Texas Epsilon Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at the University of Houston, is hosting a MindSET session. The event will take place at the Cullen College of Engineering. Activities include a sumobot jr. competition, an ice cream chemistry lab, and a structures contest. The banner design (above) was created by TX Epsilon design chair Daniel U. Rivera, TX E 2017.
