Lauren E. Clarke – ND B 2016, a graduating chemical engineering major at the University of North Dakota and third team All-American; she became the first three-time CoSIDA All-District honoree in school history and completed her collegiate volleyball career with the third-most digs in school history (1,626) and she posted two of the top 10 season dig totals at the school as well.
Ashley T. Evans – IN A 2018, majoring in mechanical engineering at Purdue University and third team All-American; she is a two-time Academic All-big Ten honoree, she recorded 16 double-doubles this season in digs and assists as a setter on the volleyball team, and surpassed 500 career digs and 1,000 career assists in 2015.
The Chronicle of Higher Education is calling for nominations for the “Top Tech Innovators in Higher Education.” According to the web page, “the goal of the project is to look across all aspects of the college world for key innovators who are tackling big challenges facing campuses with the help of technology.” The nominations deadline is Friday, January 8, 2016.
Mississippi State University recently recognized five seniors as the 2015 honorees of the University’s Association of Retired Faculty. The awards “serve as tributes or memorials to campus colleagues and association members who made major contributions to student development over their careers.” Two of this year’s honorees are Tau Bates. Harrison R. Warren, MS A 2015, is a mechanical engineering student, researching combined heat and power systems, and has been published in an academic journal. Laura E. Wilson, MS A 2016, is majoring in civil engineering, serves as project manager and past president of the local Engineers Without Borders chapter, and is president of the Soil and Water Conservation Society.
