Power Grid Research, Engineering Futures, & Academic All-American

In a recent article from EnergyWire, highlights from a recent power industry conference at the University of Pittsburgh’s Swanson School of Engineering are profiled. The conference gave students a chance to describe their research projects on renewable power generation, semiconductor electronics, direct-current power lines, battery storage and electric vehicle charging. Stephanie P. Cortes, PA L 2017, shared information on her work regarding “bidirectional power control systems to automate when electric vehicle owners recharge their cars, and when they return excess power to the grid.”

On Saturday, December 5, the Wisconsin Delta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, is hosting an Engineering Futures session on campus.
