ECN, the electronic design community’s premier source for product information, news, and sharp editorial for more than 50 years, recently published a STEM Student of the Week profile and Q&A with Abigail M. Spohn, OH Q 2015. Spohn is a senior majoring in mechanical engineering at the University of Dayton (OH). From June 25-28, 2015, at the Hilton Orlando (FL) ScholarCon 2015 will take place. “The unconventional convention that revolutionizes and redefines what it means to be a scholar” is hosted by Kappa Omicron Nu, the Human Sciences Honor Society, and invites “scholars to create a community driven by bold ideas and inspired action.” Watch the video below for more information.

According to an article from The Christian Science Monitor, the Early Stage Innovations team at NASA “is looking for proposals from American universities for technology that would benefit NASA’s space program and the wider aerospace community.” Approximately 12 teams will receive grant money to research and develop their product in the next few years. The goal is to expand the study of the universe and human exploration of Mars. Notices of intent to submit proposals are due June 12 and the deadline for submitting final proposals is July 10. Winners will be selected this fall.
