Purdue University Libraries recently announced the naming of the library within the future Active Learning Center for two College of Engineering alumni brothers. The naming (Thomas S. and Harvey D. Wilmeth Library of Engineering and Science) has been approved by the Purdue University Board of Trustees and will be dedicated in 2017. The two alumni are Thomas S. Wilmeth, IN A ’35, and his brother Harvey D. Wilmeth, both of whom earned engineering degrees from Purdue.

Thomas has a degree in electrical engineering, co-founded Scot Industries Inc. (WI) with brother Harvey, and recently turned 100 years of age. “I believe the essence of education is developing the ability to train and teach oneself to learn,” Thomas Wilmeth said. Read the news article


The May issue of The Bulletin, Tau Beta Pi’s online publication for collegiate chapters, has now been published and is available on Tau Beta Pi’s website. This is the first issue that is available in a new electronic flip-book format (DigiMag®).
