Each year the College of Science & Engineering at the University of Minnesota celebrates “the science and engineering student experience.” This is the event’s centennial with the theme “100 Years of Celebrating Science and Engineering.” There are a variety of events and activities planned for CSE Week 2014 (April 21-27). The Minnesota Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi will host a CSE Trivia Night on Wednesday, April 23, as part of the CSE Week schedule. The family-style trivia competition is for all engineering students and student groups are encouraged to bring a team to compete and enjoy the free food!

The California Nu Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, was recently featured in the winter issue of the Engineering Council Newsletter for Cal Poly Pomona. You will find some awesome pictures of the CA Nu chapter in action as part of their annual frozen t-shirt contest and quarterly hot dog handout, where engineering students get the opportunity to network and eat hot dogs. Read the newsletter and see page 10 for an in-depth profile of the CA Nu Chapter.
