The Future of Engineering, November 2013

There is a webcast scheduled for November 15 to kick-off Engineers Week 2014. The event will include a panel from the University of Delaware and the 2014 Co-Chairing organizations, DuPont and IEEE-USA. One of the panelists is Patrick T. The Republican (MA) recently reported on a Women in Engineering & Computer Career Day at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. This was the 20th year of the event, which saw more than 300 girls, counselors, and teachers in attendance. Read the article


One of the youngest members of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory participated in a video chat with students from Simon Sanchez High School in the United States territory of Guam to inspire students to reach for their goals, develop a passion for science and physics, and to share information about the Mars Science Laboratory mission.
