Recognize & Celebrate Engineering, March 2013

This past weekend in St. Louis, Missouri, the 248th Chapter of Tau Beta Pi was installed at Saint Louis University. The Missouri Epsilon Chapter brings the total to 241 active collegiate chapters of Tau Beta Pi. More information from the installation along with images of the newly inducted members will be available in the upcoming issue of THE BENT magazine and on the Tau Beta Pi website.


Patch (MI) recently recognized five local women as part of Women’s History Month for being “modern-day leaders in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).” Two of those recognized are Tau Beta Pi members:

Cristi M. Landy – (MI G ’89) is a marketing director at General Motors for Chevrolet’s small cars and electric vehicles. She has a degree in engineering from the University of Michigan.

Alisyn M. Makek – (MI G 2012) graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree energy systems engineering. She is currently a business manager for General Motors. She is also an owner of Corktown Studios art gallery.


The Texas Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at the University of Texas at Austin is offering two $500 Tau Beta Pi Scholarships to current members of the TX Alpha chapter. The deadline to submit a scholarship application is Friday, March 29. Click here for the application
