The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has announced the winners of the U.S. Global Grand Challenges Summit video contest. First place went to a chemical engineering student from the University of Texas at Austin for her video entitled “The Water Energy Nexus.” Civil engineering student Hunter C. Douglas, NC D 2013, from Duke University was one of the runner-ups. See his video, “We Build Things” below:
Start making plans now to attend the Tau Bea Pi 2013 Annual Convention in Ames, Iowa. This year’s Convention will be hosted by the Iowa Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Pi at Iowa State University and will take place October 31 through November 2 on the campus at Iowa State University.
