As part of the annual Founder’s Week celebration at Morehouse College, Dr. Calvin Mackie, GA A ’90, received the 2012 Bennie Award in Achievement. Dr. Mackie is an engineer, best selling author, motivational speaker, and entrepreneur. He concurrently earned a degree in mathematics at Morehouse and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech. His Ph.D. is from Georgia Tech as well.

He also recently received the Legacy Award from the United Negro College Fund “for his long-standing record of encouraging students to realize their full potential.” Click here to read the article from the Atlanta Daily World and for more biographical information.

A reminder about the full slate of upcoming Tau Beta Pi alumni gatherings. Several are being hosted in conjunction with TBP collegiate chapter district conferences.
