The University of Colorado at Denver College of Engineering and Applied Science recognized the Colorado Epsilon chapter of Tau Beta Pi for hosting the upcoming TBP District 12 Conference scheduled for February 22-24, 2013. It has been almost a year since the passing of NASA astronaut and scientist Janice E. Voss at the age of 55. She is “one of only six women to have gone into space five times.” Voss, IN A ’76, received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Purdue University. She earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in engineering from MIT.

The Grainger Foundation has pledged a gift in support of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Engineering. “The contribution is made in memory and honor of William W. Grainger, a 1919 Illinois graduate in Electrical Engineering, and the founder of W.W. Grainger, Inc.”
The funds will be used to support the faculty, to launch a fundraising campaign for an endowment for scholarships for students in the College of Engineering, and to provide a lead gift for the renovation of the Everitt Laboratory.
