Colorado State University announced this week that it has won the Women in Engineering Initiative Award from the Women in Engineering ProActive Network (WEPAN). According to the article, CSU has enrolled twice as many freshman women in its College of Engineering since 2007.


The Bloomberg news recently published an article about the demand for automotive engineers in Michigan with the apparent rebound of the auto industry. One talent scout was quoted in the article as saying, “If their skills are even on the edges of automotive, they can get a job.”

The NCAA has announced 130 female student-athletes that have been chosen representing all sports, divisions, and conferences as 2012 Woman of the Year honorees. On August 23, the committee will determine the nine finalists. Click here for the full list of 2011-12 female honorees
