Announcements, Opportunities, & Partners

Teach For America is a consistent supporter of Tau Beta Pi and a valued partner. Friday, August 24, is the deadline for the TFA first corps member applications.

Why do I teach?
“I teach because the next Turing or Gates or Zuckerberg might be sitting in my classroom. Kids in every zip code should have the opportunity to learn computer science.” – Samir Paul (D.C. Region ’10)

Find your why. Join Teach For America, the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates and professionals—of all majors, backgrounds, and career interests—who commit to teach for two years in urban and rural low-income communities and become lifelong leaders in expanding educational opportunity. APPLY NOW to the 2013 Teach For America corps.

Tau Beta Pi is continuing its push to activate the Association’s alumni. Recently, the TBP Chicago Alumnus Chapter was reactivated. There is also a solid petition for a new alumnus chapter in Boise, ID. Currently, there are five TBP alumni gatherings scheduled for August. Be sure to check out the schedule of events here, with gatherings in Cleveland (OH), Grand Rapids (MI), Lexington (KY), Minneapolis (MN), and more.

Tau Beta Pi partner PPI would like to remind you that in less than 75 days the fall engineering exams take place. Be sure that you have your reference manuals and review necessities.
