The Vancouver Sun recently posted an article related to a continued “gender gap in science and engineering fields” in Canada. According to the article, only 37 percent of students enrolled in science and engineering programs are women. The gap is attributed to “stereotypes that prevent more women from choosing STEM fields as careers.”


The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia announced plans for a new aerospace university “to produce a new generation of professionals for the aviation and space industries.” Minister Dmitry Rogozin said, “we have plans connected with the creation of a modern aerospace university, where we will produce a broad range of specialists for aviation, and also the rocket and space industries.” Read more here
