Tau Beta Pi was a proud participant in the second USA Science & Engineering Festival held this past weekend at the Washington E. Convention Center in DC. Tau Bate student volunteers and alumni interacted with roughly 1,250 attendees in building bridges and discussing key math and science principals related to building a successful bridge.
Volunteers came from Maryland Beta (Univ. of Maryland), DC Gamma (George Washington Univ.), and DC Alpha (Howard Univ.). Roberto Hernandez, FL A ’07, was a key alumni leader in the execution of the booth and he received support from District 4 Director Russ L. Werneth, MD B ’64. A press release with more details of Tau Beta Pi’s MindSET module at the Festival will be available on the website soon.
